The date of the Arnold Strongman Classic 2019 is approaching fast and as of now, only three spots are vacant on the list of top 10 competitors. Currently, the roster of Athletes include:
2: Rauno Heinla
5: Brian Shaw
7: Martin Licis
However, during the 2019 Arnold Pro Strongman USA Qualifier, the last three spots were filled by Jerry Pritchett, Matjaz Belsak and Matuezu Kieliszkowski. The qualifier event was dominated by Martin Licis who absolutely crushed the Atlas Stone to shoulder for Reps. The second highest repetition record was set by Matuezu Kieliszkowski, as he lifted the stone 5 times. Still, Martin Licis won the event by doing 6 reps with the massive boulder.
Now the list of the 10 strongest men on the planet is complete and the date for the Arnold Strongman Classic is set. The event will begin with the Rogue Elephant Bar deadlift on March 1st. The starting weight on the bar will be 751 pounds (340 kg). The participants will keep lifting the bar until there is only one man left standing.
On 2nd March, the Husafel Stone Carry will take place. In this event, the athletes will have to carry the 410 pounds (186 kg) stone for the longest distance possible.
On the third day, three consecutive events will take place, namely, Conan’s Wheel of Pain, Austrain Oak and Stone Shoulder.
This year’s Arnold Sports Festival will also see a presence from the powerlifter/bodybuilder turned Strongman, Larry Wheels who will be competing in the Amateur Strongman. Amanda Lawrence is also likely to compete in the women category.
